FFL Record ReadyBound book and 4473 compliance
Built on the FastBound API

Audit your FastBound bound book against the shelf

FFL Record Ready reads your FastBound A&D directly. Your staff walk the floor with the phones in their pockets, the book reconciles as they scan, and the location corrections go back into FastBound under a named user.

We are not FastBound, and we are not a replacement for it. FastBound is your bound book and your place of record. This is a second pair of eyes on what is already in it.

Why it needs FastBound to work

An inventory that is only ever checked against itself is not checked. The discrepancies that cost a licensee are the ones a self-check cannot see, and finding them means reading the actual A&D rather than a spreadsheet exported from it last Tuesday.

What we read

  • Your A&D as it stands right now, not an export
  • Items still open, including ones mid‑disposition
  • Every completed Form 4473, as it is completed
  • Your own filing history, to compare a form against

What we write back

  • Location corrections, from the phone, as they are found
  • Under a named user, the way the ATF expects
  • Nothing else. We never create or dispose a record
  • Rehearsal mode until you switch writing on yourself
Found in a real audit

Seventeen firearms the audit could not see at all. They were mid-transfer, so they were not “available”, and a naive import had quietly skipped them. Seven were in the glass case. They were not reported missing; they were absent, and the audit reported full coverage of a book it was short of.

Reading the A&D properly is the whole difference between that and a clean report that was wrong.

Connecting it

  1. Your account number. It is the digits in your FastBound address bar, cloud.fastbound.com/123456/…
  2. An API key. You create it in FastBound and paste it in. It is stored encrypted on our server and is never displayed again after you save it. You can revoke it in FastBound at any time, and the connection stops.
  3. A webhook. FastBound sends us each 4473 as it is completed. Without it the bound book audit still works perfectly well, and no 4473 is ever reviewed.
  4. An audit user. The named account corrections are written under, so your own records show who changed what.

Five questions, and you can stop and come back. Most shops are connected the same day we activate the account.

What it costs

From $29 a month, and bound book audits are unlimited on every tier. You are paying for the 4473 review; auditing is not where the money goes and we would rather you ran one every month than rationed them. The four plans are here.
